My Approach

Understanding the Patterns beneath the Surface

I believe therapy is about creating a safe space where you can better understand yourself, your relationships and the experiences that have shaped you. My approach is relational, trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I work collaboratively with you to explore what is happening beneath the surface — including the emotions, beliefs and patterns that may be affecting how you relate to yourself and others.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the bigger picture: your experiences, your relationships, and the ways you have learned to protect yourself.

 A Relational Approach

Relationships are central to our wellbeing. The way we connect with others is often shaped by our past experiences, including our early relationships and the messages we received about ourselves and the world.

Therapy offers a space to explore these experiences with compassion and curiosity, helping you develop greater self-awareness and create new ways of relating.

Attachment and Relationship Patterns

Many of us develop patterns that once helped us cope but may no longer feel helpful.
You may find yourself:

  • struggling to communicate your needs
  • feeling anxious or disconnected in relationships
  • repeating patterns you wish you could change
  • finding conflict or closeness difficult to navigate

Understanding these patterns can help you respond with more choice and compassion.

Working with Couples

In couples therapy, we explore the patterns that develop between partners.

Often couples become stuck in cycles where both people are trying to feel understood, safe or connected, but end up feeling further apart.

Therapy provides a space to slow these patterns down, understand what is happening beneath the conflict, and support both partners to rebuild connection and communication.

The focus is not on blame or deciding who is right or wrong, but on helping both people feel heard and understood.

An Integrative Approach

I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, including relational, psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT-informed approaches.

I also incorporate additional training in couples work and trauma-informed practice.

Together, we will find an approach that feels right for you.
